Yoga for Anxiety

From ancient times, yogis understood the connection between the body and the mind. This understanding and wisdom has been passed down through the ages and is still relevant today. Even though we have not suffered the losses that were experienced by the victims of the wild fires, we all have experienced times of anxiety as a result of stresses in our lives. In this class various poses will be taught to alleviate anxiety through working with the body to influence the clarity of the mind. Students attending this class should have a year of Iyengar Yoga practice.

Bharatanatyam Dance Performance with Nitya Narasimhan

Nitya's performance will be a lecture demonstration, so she can give all of us information on the context and background of the bharatanatyam art form.

You can find out more about Nitya below, and we have included this link to a video of her dance.
